An open-top military jeep on the dirt roads the vans can't take: through the rice fields and the villages, past the ox carts, dust and all, to the landing at Kompong Khleang. Then the community boat through the biggest village on the lake and sunset on the open water. Three guests per jeep; for more, we add a second jeep.

Good to know
How many people fit in a jeep?
Three guests plus the driver. For four or more we bring a second jeep, which the builder prices automatically.
Is it bumpy?
Yes, in places, and dusty in the dry season. That is the point. Not recommended for anyone with a bad back or for babies.
What about rain?
The jeeps have a canvas roof that goes up in minutes. In the wet season the roads are muddier and the drive slower; we still go.
Is the jeep the whole way?
The jeep takes you out to the lake on the back roads. The return after sunset is by the paved road, still in the jeep, with the roof up if it is cold.
